Cardinal
Our latest cropping variety for harvest late March to May. Produces medium to large deep purple spears with very good flavour on large framed uniform plants.
Late Purple Sprouting
The plant is very large, like a small bush, and is covered in small, rather pale, purple shoots. Usually very winter hardy, and may come back after a severe frost, where more modern varieties could well give up.
Kabuki
An early variety maturing within 10 weeks. Harvest from summer through autumn.
Typhoon
Late variety for planting June onwards which matures in 110-115 days. Dark green tight medium buds on a large head. Some downy mildew resistance.
Aviron
This variety has hardy vigourous foliage, well adapted to late autumn conditions. The curds have good cover and remain white in hot condtions (July and August time). Adaptable to a variation of sowing and planting dates. 80 - 92 days to 50% cut from transplanting
Advantage F1
Hybrid variety for hearted production in spring and autumn as well as greens production for spring, summer and autumn. Good dark colour with neat appearance.
Embassy F1
Very hardy, attractive heads with slightly savoyed foliage weighing on average 1kg and maturing October to March. Very good shape and colour with excellent culinary qualities, making this variety a great choice for growers.
Greyhound
One of the earliest, summer pointed cabbages. An excellent reliable variety.
Pixie
Bred for early production in spring right through until November. Small compact variety with good colour. Can also be used for early hearted production.
Savoy Providence F1
An attractive dark blue - green early midseason Savoy with fine, deeply blistered leaves. Solid, well filled, round heads of 0.7 - 1.2kg are produced, with a short core and excellent eating qualities.
Bosworth
A midseason variety maturing before Trafalgar. Has excellent holding ability with firm, smooth, dark green, sweet tasting buttons. Shows intermediate downy mildew and ringspot resistance,
